Thinning out my cymbal vault. Up for sale is a 22" Dream Dark Matter Energy Ride, hand-hammered in Wuhan. Amazing sounding cymbal. It's one of those cymbals that makes your head turn. It sounds just like it looks: dark, raw, and completely unapologetic. I own many Dream Cymbals and Gongs. I tested out dozens within this line and this one just hit different in every way. It’s got an insane palette of sounds depending on where and how you hit it.

If you know Wuhan cymbals, you know that raw, gritty mainland character -earthy, unique, and full of personality. The Dark Matter finish gives it that charred, rustic, unlathed look, but mechanically it’s in fantastic shape: clean edges, no cracks, no key holing, and no weird surprises.

Sound-wise, the stick click is super clear and woody. The wash underneath stays dark and smoky instead of running away on you, so it won't drown out whatever you're playing. The bell has a great, raw cut to it, and while it's a solid ride, you can still lay into the edge for a huge, dark crash.

Awesome cymbal if you want something dry, articulate, and completely different from the standard assembly-line stuff.
