The VOX VT40X is a really versatile little combo if you want a lot of different sounds without building everything around a pedalboard. It can cover bright VOX-style cleans, edge-of-breakup tones, heavier crunch, and higher-gain sounds, with a good selection of effects already built in.

I fully tested this amp and everything is working as it should. I checked the guitar input, controls, amp models, onboard effects, speaker output, and general operation. It sounds good and is ready to plug in and play.

The VT40X is rated at 40 watts and uses a 10-inch speaker. You get multiple amp models along with built-in compression, chorus, overdrive, distortion, flanger, phaser, tremolo, delay, and reverb. It also has user-programmable presets, AUX input, headphone output, USB connectivity, and a footswitch input.

Cosmetically, this one definitely shows some use. There are several scuffs and areas of chipped/torn covering around the cabinet edges and corners. I photographed those areas closely so you can see exactly what you’re getting. The grille, control panel, handle, and VOX hardware still look solid overall. The cosmetic wear doesn’t affect how the amp works.

The 19V power supply is included, so you won’t need to track one down separately.
