Description:

Korg Monotron original analog ribbon synthesizer from 2010. This is a compact, battery-powered monophonic synth featuring one analog VCO, an LFO, and a resonant VCF based on the filter circuit used in Korg’s MS-10/MS-20 designs. It has the classic Monotron ribbon keyboard and can produce basses, leads, drones, and aggressive filter sweeps.

The unit powers on and functions properly: it plays, the ribbon keyboard responds, and the controls operate as expected. Cosmetically, it is in excellent condition, as shown in the photos.

Important condition disclosure: The unit has a noticeable electrical smell, similar to the odor produced when something is incorrectly plugged in. I purchased it used with this smell already present and am selling it because of that issue. I have not identified the source of the odor. Please purchase with this disclosure in mind; further inspection or servicing may be advisable.

Runs on two AAA batteries, which are not included.
