This is TWO LICENCE KEYS SOLD AS ONE BUNDLE: SoundID Reference for Headphones and Speakers, and the Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on that runs the calibration inside Universal Audio's Apollo X hardware.
WHAT THE CALIBRATION DOES. SoundID Reference measures your actual room and speakers and applies a correction that makes the frequency response flat across the audible range, so what you hear is the recording rather than the room. Sonarworks state the flat target is used by over 200,000 music creators.
WHAT THE APOLLO HALF ADDS, AND WHY IT IS THE POINT OF THIS BUNDLE. Ordinarily the correction runs as a plug-in or a system-wide app on your computer. The Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on applies it ON THE APOLLO X ITSELF. It calibrates MULTIPLE OUTPUTS AT ONCE, one speaker profile plus up to two headphone profiles depending on which Apollo X you own, and it handles CALIBRATED BASS MANAGEMENT for a 2.1 system with a subwoofer.
Target modes include Flat, the Dolby Atmos Music curve, your own Custom Target, and the device emulation targets from Translation Check.
Both keys activate on THREE DEVICES each.
PRICED SEPARATELY AT THE SAME AUTHORISED DEALER, SoundID Reference for Headphones and Speakers is $249 and the Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on is $79. That is $328 of software in a $299 bundle.
IF YOU WORK IN IMMERSIVE OR ATMOS rather than stereo, the multichannel edition of this same bundle covers up to 9.1.6 channels and we list it separately at $549. This card is the stereo one.
Ships as a standalone application (ASIO, WASAPI, APO, HAL) and as a DAW plug-in (AU, VST2, VST3, AAX), with native support for Apple Silicon.
Format: This is a brand new, unregistered activation card with printed instructions. Redeem the code with the manufacturer, download the software, and the licence is yours to keep.
Please note: Please note: this needs a Universal Audio Apollo X interface. The Apollo Monitor Correction Add-on in this bundle runs the calibration on the Apollo X hardware itself, so an Apollo X is required to use that half of what you are buying. Supported models are Apollo X Gen 1 (Twin X Duo/Quad, Twin X USB, x4, x6, x8, x8p, x16) and Apollo X Gen 2 (Twin X Duo/Quad, x4, x6, x8, x8p, x16, x16D). UAD Console v1.2.1 or newer and UAD-2 Software v11.5.1 or newer are also required.
Please note: Please note: no measurement microphone is included. Headphone calibration does not need one, because it uses Sonarworks' stored profiles for over 500 headphone models. MEASURING YOUR SPEAKERS DOES NEED ONE: a SoundID Reference Measurement Microphone or a Sonarworks XREF 20, plus an XLR cable and an interface input with +48V phantom power. Some competing listings at a similar price are the version that ships with the microphone instead of the Apollo add-on, so please check which one suits you before buying.
Please note: Please note: a stable internet connection is required in use. Sonarworks state that offline use is not supported for this product.
Key Features
- Needs a Universal Audio Apollo X interface - Gen 1 or Gen 2. The Apollo Monitor Correction half runs on the Apollo X hardware, so it cannot be used without one

- Several outputs calibrated at once - one speaker profile and up to two headphone profiles, depending on the Apollo X model, with calibrated bass management for a 2.1 system
- Headphone profiles for 500+ models - ready to use with no measurement needed, which is the half of the product that works without a microphone

- Three devices per key - each of the two licences activates on three machines
