Electrodyne LA-1600 60's, 70's

Selling one Electrodyne La-1600 line amp/ mic preamp.

This is a vintage older module according to Ken Hirsch, Ken from Orphan Audio worked on it for me and corrected some original flaws that it had. Fresh caps were installed. I bought the interface from ken to turn this into a mic preamp. These have big input and output transformers on them.

I racked this module into a used chassis that I found so there are some scratches on the top lid that I tried to paint over. The front panel is new and the chassis overall looks pretty good.

I recorded through this preamp in my studio on a few instruments and shot video of it on bass guitar and drums. I have been using vintage Electrodyne ch strips for over two decades and love how balanced they sound tone wise. They are my go-to preamps for many years now.

If you don't have a 500 series rack and want a cheaper way to get a vintage Electrodyne preamp this is for you.
