I am putting for sale my rare Gibson Grabber in wine red color.

I bought this bass from an old guy who had it hanging as a decoration among other guitars and basses in his house for over 20 years. I am the 3rd owner. I own as well a Gibson G3, and I prefer the sound of the G3 for my punk rock band, that's the reason why I decided not to keep both.

I brought it to a guitar shop for a service this spring. We realized that the frets were very worn out, and decided to have a fret job done. The bass was then adjusted with new stings. The electronic was changed (original included, see picture) because it was noisy. There is still a little bit of fret buzz on the first few frets. I spent a decent amount of money getting this instrument ready to be played again.

The Grabber is in good shape for its age and comes with the original case. I tried to show all possible damages on the body with detailed pictures. On the back of the headstock, there is a rest piece of something looking like adhesive from an old tape. I didn't try to get rid of it.

Based on the serial number it seems that the bass was build in 1975 according to the information I found only (with no guarantee).

If you have questions or need more picture, don't hesitate to write me. I speak as well French and German.

Ask me as well a quote for the shipping to your country before buying it. Shipping in Europe should costt around 100 euro and to the USA around 170-180 euro.
