A Kanstul flugelhorn, Chicago model, made in tribute to the sound of the Chicago-era Benge workshop. 6-inch yellow brass bell. .415-inch (10.5mm) valve bore. Bach-shank mouthpiece receiver. Silver-plated finish. Includes manufacturer-logo PROTEC gig bag (exterior shows wear).
[Condition]
Scattered light scratches and small dings. No dents or plating loss. Interior cleaned, soft parts replaced, adjusted and serviced.
[Features]
Designed by founder Zig Kanstul, who worked in Benge's factory from 1970, blending American brass-making tradition with a compact 6-inch bell/.415-inch small bore French-style layout. Light, quick-responding bottom-spring valves; 3rd slide equipped with a trigger for fine pitch adjustment. Kanstul has since gone out of business, so this model can now only be found on the used market.
