GMI PUBLIC ADDRESS Systems 33F6

Hello, up for sale is my GMI Public Address Amplifier (#26). This was hand built in El Monte, CA. in April of 2024. 

Originally, this started off as a EchoPark Vibramatic 4T5. The amp was a little too clean for my taste and that's where we started down the rabbit hole...

I originally reached out to GMI and asked if we could switch out the tubes for 5881's. They asked what I was looking for and I was looking for a quicker breakup - vs the cleaner headroom I was getting with 6L6's. So they tweaked the amp and put in 5881's. Close but I wanted more breakup. 

At this point, they suggested a re-build as GMI had just completed their design for the 33F6. I played through the shop amp and I was sold. 

After living with the amp for a few months, I asked if we could switch to EL34's and a bigger transformer. And this is what we currently have. This is a one off and totally unique. 

Bright input #1 behaves more like a JTM 45 (that was my reference point). 

Input #2 is cleaner and rounder and is perfect for a pedal platform situation. 

When the two channels are jumped together it has all the familiar DNA of its British ancestor. 

It's a point to point, hand wired circuit that features bigger transformers than the original 33F6. And more importantly, a Master volume that works. This amp is bullet proof.
