Gibson Hummingbird Special - Satin Vintage Cherry Sunburst

Gibson Hummingbird Special - Satin Vintage Cherry Sunburst

There are few guitars that carry the emotional weight of a Hummingbird. Its unmistakable shape, instantly recognizable pickguard, and unmistakable Gibson voice have made it one of the most beloved acoustic guitars ever created. The Hummingbird Special captures that same spirit in a guitar designed to be picked up, played hard, and lived with. From the first chord, it has the warmth, character, and unmistakable presence that make a Hummingbird feel like more than just an instrument. It feels like an old friend waiting to tell a story.

The Hummingbird Special is offered at a more accessible price than the standard Hummingbird by focusing the build on the elements that matter most to the playing experience and leaving behind some of the more elaborate appointments found on the higher-priced model. Rather than compromising the heart of the instrument, Gibson has concentrated the value where players feel it most: in the tonewoods, construction, resonance, playability, and unmistakable Hummingbird design. The result is a guitar that delivers an authentic Gibson acoustic experience without requiring the same investment as the standard model.

That is ultimately what makes the Hummingbird Special so compelling. It puts the soul of one of Gibson's most iconic acoustics within reach of more players, while retaining the character that made the Hummingbird legendary in the first place. Whether it is sitting quietly in the corner waiting for a late-night song or filling a room with a first-struck G chord, the Hummingbird Special feels like a guitar with a history, even before you have had the chance to write your own.
