Personal Thoughts:
This is a particularly cool take on the classic single-cut formula. The aged Pelham Blue finish gives it a very different character from the usual bursts, while the cream binding, rosewood board and nickel hardware keep the overall look rooted in late-’50s Gibson styling.

The twin Amber P-90 setup is a big part of the appeal. Compared with a conventional humbucker-equipped Lester, these should give the guitar a more immediate and open response, with plenty of bite, woody mids and dynamic character when played clean, then a rawer and more vocal edge once the amp starts to break up. The aluminium stopbar and traditional Tune-O-Matic arrangement keep the rest of the specification simple and familiar.

With its mahogany construction, flamed maple top, 628mm scale and 12" radius, the overall recipe is very traditional, but the P-90s and Pelham Blue finish give it a distinctive personality. A great boutique-built alternative for someone who wants the feel and authority of a vintage-style single-cut without choosing the obvious specification.

Condition Report:
Excellent condition. The checking, finish wear and aged hardware form part of Maybach’s original factory-aged treatment rather than subsequent damage. Beyond the intentional ageing, the guitar presents very cleanly overall with only light signs of careful use.
