LM-Correct solves one problem completely: getting audio to a loudness target without iterating. You point it at the material, tell it the standard you have to hit, and it analyses and corrects in a single pass, faster than real time on file based work.

The part that separates it from a gain calculation is the look-ahead True Peak limiter built into the correction stage. Loudness normalisation can push peaks past the ceiling and fail compliance for a reason that has nothing to do with the loudness number, and LM-Correct handles both in the same pass.
