Strymon’s DIG V2 is one of those delay pedals that can completely change the character of a pedalboard. Yes, it’s a dual digital delay, but calling it that doesn’t really capture what makes this thing so cool.

The DIG V2 gives you two independent delays that interact with each other, allowing you to create everything from tight, rhythmic slapback and classic echo sounds to huge, atmospheric, stereo textures. The two delay engines can be configured in different ways, including series and parallel configurations, so you can build complex rhythmic patterns and layered repeats that are difficult to get from a conventional single-delay pedal.

And unlike a lot of pristine, clinical digital delays, the DIG gives you a choice of different delay flavors, including 12-bit, 24-bit, and ADM-style digital processing, allowing you to move from clean modern repeats to darker, more characterful sounds.

It’s particularly fantastic for ambient, shoegaze, indie, post-punk, experimental, and psychedelic music, but it can also handle straightforward delay duties beautifully. There’s a lot of depth here if you want to dig into it.
