Silktone Astro #2 (Now discontinued)
I am at least the second owner. When I got it, it had come to me straight from Charles at Silktone. He had it in for a service and upgrade to the Soursound output transformer that was not in it originally. This has his 12” Alnico magnet speaker instead of the more recent ceramic.
Very light scuffs and scratches from transport and use. Some deglossing of tolex from a reverb unit sitting on top. Amp is used but not abused. See pics, my room has a pool table light so its very bright and maybe too reflective.
12w or 1/2w switch
Tilt eq tone control
Light, dense or raw silk toggle, to control the amount of mids or bypass the tone stack entirely and add a nice full volume boost.
12ax7 preamp tube, kt66 power tube and 5ar4 rectifier round out this simple yet flexible amp.
