Gretsch Limited Electromatic Black Limba Jet Electric Guitar - Sunburst

Serial Number: CYG26041419 Weight: 9 lbs 9 oz

A Limited-edition Gretsch Workhorse

The Gretsch Limited Electromatic Black Limba Jet is the kind of guitar that begs to be picked up and played — no extra switches, no flashy gimmicks, just pure Gretsch tone with a side of attitude. This limited-edition version takes things up a notch with a black limba body. This tonewood — also known as korina — features visually stunning grain, enhanced by its beautiful sunburst finish and gold hardware. Its bound chambered body keeps things light while adding a touch of natural resonance, so you can sling it over your shoulder for marathon sets without breaking a sweat. The PureVolt Twin Six humbuckers are sensitive enough for creamy rhythms but offer aggressive, articulate grit when driven. Guitarists fire up the Electromatic Jet when they want a stripped-down experience, laser-focused on the player with a Performance C neck, simple 3-control layout, and wraparound tailpiece, making it easy to dial in the perfect feel. When you strap on an Electromatic Jet, you get distilled Gretsch performance without the fluff.

Light and resonant chambered black limba body

This limited-edition Electromatic Jet comes structured with a bound, chambered black limba body that significantly reduces weight while subtly enhancing its natural resonance for a unique plugged-in tone. Perfect for tossing over the shoulder for longer set lists, the Electromatic Jet delivers that commanding single-cut, hourglass feel guitarists know and love, but with half the strain of a standard solidbody. Guitarists have paired this 6-string with a wide range of both solid-state and tube amplifiers, and the fact remains: the chambered Electromatic Jet will embody "That Great Gretsch Sound!" no matter what.

Flavor-packed PureVolt Twin Six humbuckers

Since the dawn of the dual-coil design, Gretsch humbuckers have served players with hum-free performance that’s jam-packed with character. The Electromatic Jet keeps these traditions alive with an outfit of PureVolt Twin Six humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. These dynamically sensitive and full-size dual-coils fuel warm and fluid cleans inspired by Gretsch’s retro Broad’Trons. However, push these humbuckers with drive or gain, and the Twin Sixes reveal a soulful growl and gritty sustain that come alive with remarkable spirit. Backed with a 3-way toggle, master volume, and push-pull treble bleed tone pots for coil splitting, the Electromatic Jet's sonic shaping capabilities are as effortless as they come.

Dependably appointed and superbly styled

The wraparound and adjustable bridge of the Electromatic Jet pairs nicely with a set of sealed die-cast tuning machines up top to satisfy the playing styles of gentle pickers and high-intensity performers alike. Stylistic updates also spearhead the Electromatic Jet's visual appeal, not the least of which are Gretsch’s iconic pearloid Neo-Classical thumbnail inlays and a redesigned Falcon-style headstock. The dark edges of the sunburst finish perfectly highlight the beautiful wood grain of the black limba body, while handsome gold hardware and aged white binding across the fingerboard and headstock imbue the Electromatic Jet with iconic Gretsch swagger.
