No. 1501. Includes original hardshell case. This beautiful 35 year + old Golden Eagle is in very fine condition. It has never had a pickguard and there are no holes for a guard. It has some optional (upcharge) "custom" features, besides the no pickguard feature, including:
* It was PLEK'd at Sweetwater 3/26. There's no fret wear & it plays beautifully
* 24.75 inch scale instead of the standard 25.5"....1-11/16th inch nut width Nut was replaced when Plek'd
* Block inlays on the fingerboard instead of the standard clouds.
* Single Bartolini humbucker in the neck position, with vol. & tone controls above the f hole
* Antique Natural finish was optional back then, as was the premium flamed Maple
* Custom peghead inlay instead of the Eagle one
Golden Eagle features include:
* 17 inch lower bout width
* 3 inch rim depth
* 1-11/16th nut width
* Solid Carved Sitka Spruce top, solid premium flamed Maple back, solid Maple rims
* Ebony: fingerboard, bridge-full contact fitted to top w/ inlays
* Cupid's bow point at treble end of the board
* Custom Ebony truss rod cover with Eagle inlay.
* Deluxe fancy binding & inlays
* bound f holes
* Fancy 5 piece neck- medium C carve
* Parallel Bracing, for more warmth
*Gold plated hardware. Grover Rotomatic keys with Imperial buttons
No repairs done or needed. The Gold plating is still nice. Very little wear and virtually no signs of use. He had a Bartolini pickup installed at purchase and this is the only modification, and it has some minor scratches in the top- not deep & not much, and some very minor worming type surface impressions here and there. Very minimal.
Output jack is in the tailpiece. No pickguard or pickguard mounts. A very fine playing and "sounding" traditional top of the line Kalamazoo archtop. They no longer make this model, as the old original guys are now retired. This is a Museum piece for sure, but you'll want to enjoy playing this curvy blonde for sure.
