Yamaha SY85 Music Synthesizer Workstation w/ Hard Road Case
The Yamaha SY85 is a classic early-1990s digital synthesizer and workstation built around Yamaha's AWM2 sound engine. With 61 velocity-sensitive keys and aftertouch, the SY85 offers a huge range of sounds while giving you plenty of control for expressive playing.
The SY85 features 30-note polyphony, 16-part multitimbral operation, 256 internal voices, 128 performance combinations, programmable digital filters, and two onboard effects processors with a wide variety of effects including reverb, delay, chorus, flange, distortion, EQ, and more.
Beyond being a synthesizer, the SY85 also works as a full workstation, with a 9-track sequencer, 10-song memory, 100 rhythm patterns, MIDI In/Out/Thru, and a built-in 3.5" floppy disk drive for saving and loading sounds and sequences.
This is a great choice for someone looking for that classic early-90s Yamaha workstation sound, with plenty of hands-on controls and deep programming capabilities. The combination of AWM2 sounds, aftertouch, onboard effects, and sequencing makes the SY85 much more than just a preset keyboard.
The SY85 is in Good to Fair condition. It has cosmetic scratches and scuffs consistent with its age and use, and a few of the keys are not responsive. Please review all photos carefully for the cosmetic condition and overall appearance.
Also included is a very sturdy hard road case. The case shows some cosmetic wear but provides excellent protection for the synthesizer and makes it much easier to transport or store this vintage workstation.
