The VOX AC15C1 is one of those amps that immediately gives you that unmistakable British character—bright, articulate cleans, plenty of chime, and a Top Boost channel that gets gritty and responsive when you start pushing it.
This one has been tested and is working properly. It also includes the power cord, so it is ready to plug in and play.
The AC15C1 is a 15-watt all-tube combo loaded with a 12” Celestion G12M Greenback. That speaker gives the amp a warm, punchy midrange while still keeping the clarity and top-end sparkle VOX amps are known for.
The Normal channel works well as a cleaner platform, especially if you like running pedals, while the Top Boost channel gives you the more familiar VOX bite, compression, and natural breakup. It is a great fit for indie, alternative, British rock, blues, and jangly clean tones.
You also get onboard spring reverb and tremolo, along with master volume and tone cut controls that make it easy to dial in for different guitars, pedals, and rooms.
Cosmetically, this amp presents very well overall. There are some normal signs of use, including a few small scuffs and marks on the cabinet covering and some wear along the rear lower edge. The grille cloth, VOX badge, control panel, handle, and hardware all remain clean and presentable. Please review the photos closely, as they are part of the condition description.
If you want a real tube VOX without stepping up to the size and weight of an AC30, the AC15C1 is a very useful middle ground. It has enough power for rehearsals, recording, and many live situations, while the master volume still makes it practical for home use.
