MOSTLY MUSIC CERTIFIED INSPECTION
This Gibson Thor bass combo was inspected and tested by our team. We checked the cabinet, speakers, control panel, power cable, and overall function. Serial 70-32423 dates it to 1970. It is the solid-state Thor, not the earlier tube version. The original two-prong power cable is present. The Volume knob is missing; Treble and Bass knobs are in place.

The 1970–74 Gibson Thor is a USA-made 50-watt 2×10 solid-state bass combo. Simple three-knob layout, two inputs, and a vertical 2×10 cabinet. Gibson sold these as working bass amps, not boutique pieces. The 2×10 load gives a warm, mid-forward voice that also works for guitar in a small room or studio. It is not a modern high-watt gig amp. Think practice, recording, rehearsal, and small rooms.

The Volume knob is missing. Treble and Bass knobs are in place. If you want a knob installed before it ships, message us after purchase and we will put a simple replacement on. It will most likely not match the two remaining original knobs.

Honest vintage wear on the covering and grille consistent with age. This is the black-panel transistor Thor — no power tubes.
