Asylum Audio Modified Boss DS-1 Distortion

Up for grabs is a truly unique, hot-rodded Boss DS-1 Distortion packed with premium, tone-shaping modifications. If you love the classic DS-1 form factor but want a massive upgrade in tonal versatility, dynamic response, and sheer attitude, this is the pedal for you. This pedal features three major upgrades that transform it from a standard orange box into a boutique dirt machine:

• The "Seeing Eye" Mod: Inspired by legendary boutique pedal modifications, this upgrade replaces the standard clipping diodes to give the pedal a much more organic, tube-like distortion. It increases clarity, adds dynamic response to your playing, and replaces the standard check LED with a reactive LED that brightens as you play harder and clip the signal.
• The "Triode" Switch: A custom toggle switch that alters the circuit's voicing. Flip it to change the clipping characteristics, smoothing out the notorious harsh "fizzy" highs of the stock DS-1 and giving you a thicker, warmer midrange reminiscent of a cranked tube amplifier.
• Added Custom Clipping Circuit: An extra layer of tonal flexibility has been engineered into this unit, giving you an entirely different flavor of grit. It allows you to toggle between aggressive, modern crunch and a smoother, more compressed vintage overdrive.
• Added Clipping Circuit Controls: A 2-way mini toggle switch controls the added clipping circuit which can be engaged while the pedal is in bypass mode. A 3-way mini toggle switch controls 3 options for the circuit - A Germanium diode stack, a Schottky diode stack, or no diodes for a raw, transistor driven tone. A volume knob controls overall output.
