Epiphone 1963 Firebird I in Silver Mist, purchased new from Wildwood Guitars in April 2025. This is a particularly striking and faithful Firebird design, with neck-through-body construction and vintage-style banjo tuners—two defining features that distinguish a true Firebird from the many set-neck interpretations.
The single Firebird mini-humbucker delivers the focused, articulate sound these guitars are known for, with a simple one-volume/one-tone layout and wraparound bridge. The guitar weighs 7.61 pounds and has a substantial neck measuring approximately .88" at the first fret and 1.01" at the twelfth.
Wildwood set it up with 11–49 strings for slide, while keeping the action low enough for conventional fretting. It plays well and is in excellent condition; the photos show the guitar accurately from all angles.
Includes the fitted hardshell case and original case materials shown in the photos.
