ESP KH-2 Ouija Kirk Hammett Signature 1990's - Black with Ouija Graphic

This is a rare 1990’s ESP KH-Ouija signature guitar, originally purchased brand new in April or May 1999 at the ESP Shop in Tokyo, Japan.

Frets are still in great shape with plenty of life left.

The neck is very straight and in excellent condition.

The original EMG pickups are currently installed. The guitar had DiMarzio pickups installed at one point in the past, but it has since been fully returned to the original EMG configuration. No routing or body modifications were ever made.

The original pickup selector switch and one knob were replaced this year due to normal aging. The original parts have been kept and will be included with the guitar. The wiring has also been professionally serviced and replaced where needed. Both volume controls, the master tone control, and the pickup selector all work perfectly.

The original Floyd Rose tremolo system, arm, locking nut, screws, strap buttons, and other small hardware are all original.

The headstock has minor finish chips on the tip and next to Kirk Hammett's signature. There is a small chip on the edge of the body near the pickup selector, along with some finish wear next to it. There is also a small paint chip near the output jack (approx. 5/8"), exposing the wood underneath. Some of the Floyd Rose string lock screws have surface rust. The rust can be removed easily, but I have left them as-is to avoid potentially damaging the surface coating. Please refer to the photos for details.

No major cracks, breaks, or repairs. Everything functions properly.

The original ESP hard case is included. The key is missing. The case has some noticeable white stains and scratches, as shown in the photos. Otherwise, it is in excellent condition.

The guitar has always been stored in the original hard case.

The original Certificate of Authenticity was kept at my family’s home in Japan, but after my family moved, I have not been able to locate it. I contacted ESP Japan regarding the exact production year, but I have not received a response from them. I also contacted ESP USA, and based on the additional photos provided, ESP USA confirmed that this appears to be an ESP KH-Ouija manufactured in Japan sometime in the late 1990s.

Unlike the standard ESP KH-2 models, the KH-Ouija version was produced in very limited numbers, making it a much rarer and more collectible model.
