This is a truly unusual Martin Custom Shop 00, handcrafted in Nazareth, Pennsylvania with an exceptional combination of vintage-inspired specifications and premium tonewoods. The pairing of highly figured quilted maple back and sides, Adirondack spruce, Golden Era bracing, and a rare long glue-in saddle makes this a particularly distinctive Custom Shop build.

The centerpiece is the gorgeous quilted maple back and sides.

The Adirondack spruce top is supported by scalloped 1/4” Adirondack Golden Era bracing, giving the compact 00 body impressive responsiveness, projection, and headroom.

One of the most noteworthy features is the Modern Belly bridge with a long glue-in saddle. Unlike the short drop-in saddle commonly found on modern production Martins, this extended saddle is a traditional, vintage-inspired appointment and an unusually rare specification on a modern Custom Shop 00. Combined with the Adirondack top and Golden Era bracing, it gives this guitar a decidedly old-school Martin character. *Note, some of the binding has come loose. I tried to photograph it the best I could. this minor repair can be done by a skilled craftsman guitar tech. The price reflects this.

The Modified V neck profile, 1-3/4” nut width, generous 2-3/8” string spacing, and 24.9” short scale further reinforce the vintage-inspired design while making it particularly inviting for fingerstyle playing.
