A limited-edition Masterbuilt Strat with serious pedigree, the Fender Custom Shop Michael Landau “Coma” Stratocaster Relic is a faithful tribute to Landau’s beloved 1959 Stratocaster. Masterbuilt by Todd Krause—the same luthier who has built guitars for Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck—this guitar recreates decades of modifications, playwear, and personal touches that shaped the original “Coma” into a studio workhorse. From the wide-range humbucker in the bridge to the hand-drawn “COMA” lettering on the body, this Masterbuilt Stratocaster delivers iconic tone, vintage feel, and personalized flair in a stunning Coma Red finish. Only 60 of these guitars were made worldwide.
Specs: Masterbuilt by Todd Krause. 2-piece select alder body with relic nitrocellulose lacquer Coma Red finish. Maple neck with '60s Oval “C” back-shape, flat-laminated rosewood fingerboard with 7.25" radius and 21 narrow tall (Jescar 55095) frets. 25.5" scale length. Bone nut with 1.650" width. Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo. Fender ClassicGear™ tuning machines. 4-ply brown shell pickguard. Black skirt-style Strat knobs. Includes deluxe hardshell case, custom “Coma” strap, Certificate of Authenticity, and “The Story of Coma” booklet written by Michael Landau.

Custom ML Ultra Noiseless™ Strat single-coils in the middle and neck. 5-way selector switch with master volume, Tone 1 (neck and middle pickups), and Tone 2 (bridge pickup). Offers a wide tonal range from classic Strat chime to full-bodied humbucker growl.
