To professional flute players the name Verne Q Powell needs no introduction. The Boston flute makers were arguably makers of the finest handmade flutes in the world. This modern Powell Sonare model flute carries the same distinct features of the handmade flutes of earlier generations. It comes with a hand cut Boston made Signature headjoint that plays with a free, bright and vibrant tone. The rest of the flute is silver plated with silver plated keys.
Some of the features include French open holes and pointed key arms, an offset G and a B foot.
All the great sound of a professional Powell but with the price tag of a student flute.
This flute was pre-owned but barely used and came to us in fantastic condition. We just cleaned, oiled and adjusted it and it plays beautifully. 
Plays easily at A=442 and slightly above.

Included is a the original leather covered French case, lush case cover, original cloth, a silk swab, a wood cleaning stick, a set of key plugs and the original box and contents.

If ordered new today, this flute would cost over $2500.
