The Carr Telstar 17 Watt 1x12 Combo is a hand-built, boutique tube amplifier that uniquely pairs a 6L6 and an EL84 power tube together in a push-pull Class A configuration.

The unique power section combines the harmonic crunch of EL84s with the headroom and full-bodied low end of 6L6s (the stock 6L6 can also be swapped for 6V6, EL34, or similar octal tubes without re-biasing). This amp also features  a 53/58 switch shifting tone and gain behavior from early '50s Fullerton roundness to late '50s British-style bite, and a Lean/Lush switch tightening or enriching the low-end response. Construction employs 100% point-to-point hand wiring, Jupiter tone caps, custom transformers, and an early '60s thin-wall space-age style cabinet. A built-in attenuator allows you to dial the power smoothly anywhere from a full 17 watts down to 0 watts for cranked-amp tone at any volume. And this amp features lush, all-tube long-spring reverb.
