All of the internals on this one are in great working order, and perform with good output level and fidelity. (Check out the voice sample in the listing video.) The 55S is very desirable for live stage speech and music performances, especially in "throwback" settings. It's always prized for its iconic look and reliable sound, with a distinctive visual style that always adds presents wherever it is used. 

This one displays beautifully, like it may never have been placed into service, with no outward signs of use/age, nice sheen, no bent or cracked ribs. It has original flawless screen cloth, the on-off switch functions as it should, and the pivot joint holds the tilt angle firmly in place.
