Sonoris DDP Creator Standard CD Mastering and DDP Authoring (Card)

ONE THING TO CHECK FIRST: THIS IS THE STANDARD EDITION, NOT PRO. The Pro option adds ENHANCED CD support, which lets you build Enhanced CD DDP filesets by adding an ISO file to an audio project. Standard does not do that. If you need Enhanced CD, buy the Pro edition instead. Everything else described below is in Standard.

The Sonoris DDP Creator is the tool mastering engineers use to deliver a finished album. It takes your mastered files and turns them into a Red Book compatible CD master and a DDP 2.00 image, which is what replication plants and distributors ask for.

The workflow is straightforward. Drop your mastered 16 bit wav or aif files on the workspace, set the track order, adjust the gaps between tracks and audition the transitions, then edit the PQ points, ISRC codes, MCN and CD-Text. Export to DDP or Cue Sheet, burn a CD, or print a PQ sheet.

It reads as well as it writes, and that is the part people underestimate. DDP Creator can load back a DDP fileset made by other software, including Bias Peak Studio, Sonic Studio HD, SADiE, Sequoia and Pyramix, so you can check somebody else's master, verify the PQ codes, ISRC, MCN and CD-Text, edit it, play it back and re-export.

It also imports Cue Sheet files from WaveLab, CD Architect wav image files and Pyramix pmi files, and can rip a CD to a project. So if you assembled an album in your usual editor and the client now wants a DDP, you do not have to move your session anywhere.
