Egmond Double Tenor Guitar - Acoustic Electric Bouzouki - Chicago Tuning DGBE

  Egmond parlor guitar - made in Holland, with a unique neck setup. The neck angle can be adjusted anytime by turning an inset screw at the neckjoint. With that adjustable neck, 24" scale and trapeze tailpiece it makes a good choice for a double tenor conversion - here with Chicago Tuning - DGBE - also the same as a baritone ukulele.

I've put on new sealed tuners, new tailpiece, bone nut and modified the bridge for eight strings - along with a single coil pickup with volume and tone controls. After a fret leveling and polish, the string height at the 12th fret is set at 3/32" bass side and just under that on the treble side, and it plays well there up and down the fingerboard.

The tuning is like a guitar with just the first 4 strings.

The string pairings are:    35-11  19-19   14-14 10-10

Ships in a period softshell case that needs a new handle.
