The MXR Dyna Comp Mini takes one of the most recognizable compressor sounds in guitar history and puts it into a pedalboard-friendly package. You still get that familiar Dyna Comp squash and sustain that can smooth out your playing, add snap and clarity, and give clean or lightly driven tones a more polished feel, but the Mini takes up nearly half the space of the original. It's an easy pedal to leave on for a little extra consistency or kick in when you want your playing to feel tighter and more pronounced.

Inside, MXR uses the same "metal can" CA3080 IC associated with vintage Dyna Comps, giving the Mini a transparent, musical compression character while keeping the noise floor low. The familiar Sensitivity and Output controls make it easy to dial in everything from subtle leveling to pronounced compression, while the Attack switch adds a useful twist to the classic formula. Leave it disengaged for the traditional Dyna Comp feel, or engage it to let more of your natural picking dynamics through for a more open and responsive attack.

The Dyna Comp Mini is especially appealing when pedalboard space is at a premium, but its compact size doesn't come at the expense of the character that made the original such a staple.
