This is a hand-wired clone of the ’73 Ram’s Head Big Muff. The greatest of the Big Muffs in my and many other people’s opinion. Built using the awesome Super Freq PCB design and the schematics provided on Kit Rae’s iconic Big Muff Page. Also: The circuit contains the best modern equivalent transistors: 2N5089. Everything is housed in a custom etched enclosure.
The Ram’s Head was used by David Gilmour and J. Mascis, and, according to the all-knowing internet robots, Jack White.
By itself, it is really unbeatable for the discerning musician’s Doom, Stoner, or Psychedelic needs. Boosted with a Tube Screamer or Boss Super-Overdrive, it is (in my opinion) perfect for several sub-genres of metal.
