Gretsch 6120 in Orange Stain
The guitar is from 1990. It has a perfect patina and is truly a rare beauty. I’ve owned many Gretsch guitars, but this one has a remarkable grain. The guitar still has the original Filter’Tron pickups. The tuners have been replaced; the original ones were swapped out by a previous owner—in a Brian Setzer-style modification—for locking tuners. The strap buttons have been replaced with Schaller Locks. The bridge is a compensated Tru-Arc Bridge—in my opinion, the best bridge ever for a 6120.
The guitar comes in a very cool, rare gray case. If you’d like, I’ll throw in a Gretsch Western strap as well.
It’s currently strung with 10-44 Tomastik flatwound strings, since I wanted the ultimate old-school rockabilly sound. It can rock really well, too, but I’d recommend different strings for that.
The neck has block inlays, which is actually quite rare, but looks great on it.
