Shure SM57 Cardioid Dynamic Microphone
- Classic mic for stage and studio.
- This is a 1980s - made in Mexico - Shure SM57, as indicated by the presence of the extra set screw hole at the tail end of the mic. This provides an option to use a set screw to attach to a mic cable - used to reduce the chance of a cable being pulled out accidentally; a design feature of early SM57s and earlier Shure microphones. [There is an article on the Shure website explaining this: search "Set Screw for SM58, SM57, 565, 545, and other microphones".]
This microphone is in excellent used condition (especially considering its age), with a few small marks to the finish (mostly at the tail end of the mic) - please see pictures.
It is working nicely.
