 You are looking at a studio quality, vintage 1970's era Electro Voice model 660 dynamic super cardioid microphones that comes with the original E.V model mic clip and cable in which to operate. These rugged classic microphones were made by E.V in the U.S.A for almost 30 years before being discontinued and was used for several applications including broadcasting and singing. 

 This 660 utilized many of the same components as the E.V RE-15 series microphone. Many microphone companies would use tried and tested elements from from one mic and use them in others and apparently the 660 was basically a replica RE-15 without a bass drop off switch from what I was told and if you ever hear the 660 model mic be prepared to fall in love because the tone on these are absolutely fantastic and they have the Variable D which E.V was notorious for using on many of their higher end mics during that time period.

 The 660 came in both stick form as well as with the lower pistol grip depending on your needs but these two were the stick mic variants that you could either place in a mic clip or simply hold in the hand while live.

  This is the only E.V 660 I currently have and they seem to sell fast due to the high demand of these microphones. It's an absolute gem too. If you need the best of the best you'll want to grab this 660 before it's gone. I rarely get these in.

 The E.V 660 is a light weight microphone set at 150 OHMS (Low impedance) and it has a smooth, warm tone that's excellent for broadcasting and singing. It's not super bass heavy like a Shure SM-58. More mid-range with an excellent frequency response. These mics are dual Z as well so if you wire it properly you can get high Z but currently it's factory set at low impedance. 

 These are some of the finest and most desirable E.V mics of the 1970's and 80's.

 The 660 uni-directional (super cardioid) picking up only your voice directly in front of the screen and cancelling out unwanted background noise.

 I don't know the first year this was introduced but it seems to have started production in the late late 1960's and made into the early 2000's before being discontinued. 

 You'll also notice that these 660 mics come in both a satin chrome finish or painted finish. The paint basically eliminated any glare that would be caused from bright lights. The front screens on this mic are in very nice condition with no dents, odors or tarnish. There are zero dents or fractures, scuff marks or scratches. The E.V label looks great and completely legible.

 I'd rate this mic an easy 9 + on a scale of 1 - 10. 

 It should be noted that this mic has a new inner foam liner. These inner foam pop filters greatly help with the acoustics of the mic. The foam is in great shape and will last for several decades to come. The new foam / pop filter cuts down any unwanted feedback due to wind or breathing. If you buy a used 660 model mic you'll want to make sure the inner foam pop filters are replaced professionally. I cleaned the XLR pins on these mics as well ensuring a perfect signal once a cable is attached.

 The mics measure 6 1/2 inches long and 1 1/2 wide at the screen. 

The mics take a standard XLR cable which is included. The cable is appx 15 feet in length and has the quality Switchcraft male & female XLR connectors. The cable is still soft, pliable and free of any wear.   The Electro Voice 358 mic clip is also included and it fits the mics firmly allowing for a wide range of tilt up and down. The clip will screw on to any microphone desk or floor stand. The clip has the adjustable tension via side screw. The clip is in perfect physical condition and these usually sell for around $45.00 alone.  The 660 is American made and so well built that there's no reason these won't last 100 years.                                                                        

 If you demand one of the nicest looking and working 660 out there...this one won't disappoint.
