EMG 89 & 89R Active Pickup Set - Black Calibrated Bridge & Neck Pair (Open Box / Mint)

Up for sale is an uninstalled pair of vintage-era EMG active pickups: the EMG 89 (Bridge) and the EMG 89R (Neck). This is an open-box set that has been opened for inspection. The EMG-89 unit remains 100% factory-sealed in its original plastic wrapping, while the EMG-89R is unwrapped but remains completely unused, unmounted, and pristine.

This 89 and 89R combo creates the ultimate calibrated humbucker set. Both models feature independent dual-coil and single-coil modes with separate outputs, giving you both thick humbucking power and authentic single-coil spank in one housing:

• EMG 89 (Bridge Position): Voiced to give you the crushing power of an EMG 85 in humbucker mode, splitting into a bright, biting single-coil.

• EMG 89R (Neck Position): Flipped internal coils ("Reversed") specifically to place the active single-coil directly under the neck harmonic "sweet spot" for warm, rich cleans, while offering a fat, articulate neck humbucker tone.

These are pristine vintage-era pieces (Manufacture Dates: 2006 and 2007) and include the pickups, original factory documentation, and the matching EMG QuickConnect cable leads. Please note that these are from the classic era before EMG transitioned to their entirely solderless plastic bus system; the quick-connect leads are designed to be soldered directly to your push/pull pots and output jack.
