LOOP-MASTER PEDALS DUAL 2-BUTTON TRS AUX FOOTSWITCH – 4-SWITCH MOMENTARY CONTROLLER

Two independent 2-button auxiliary footswitch controllers in one compact, low-profile strip.

The Loop-Master Pedals Dual 2-Button TRS Aux Footswitch gives you FOUR normally-open momentary footswitches divided into two completely independent 2-button sections.

Each section has its own TRS output with one switch controlling Tip and the other controlling Ring.

That means you can connect both sections to one piece of compatible equipment, use either section by itself, or — where this controller really gets interesting — control TWO completely different devices at the same time.

For example:

• 2 switches for a Line 6 HX Stomp + 2 switches for a Morningstar MIDI controller

• 2 switches for an Eventide H90 + 2 switches for a Morningstar MIDI controller

• 2 switches for one Eventide device + 2 switches for another

• One section for preset/bank control + the other for tap tempo/bypass on another compatible device

• Use one 2-button section now and keep the other available for future gear

WHAT IT DOES

HOW EACH 2-BUTTON SECTION WORKS

Each side is an independent normally-open momentary TRS controller:

• Switch 1 = Tip to Sleeve

• Switch 2 = Ring to Sleeve

Pressing a switch momentarily closes that control connection. Releasing it opens the connection again.

The second pair works exactly the same way through its own separate TRS output.

Because the two sections are independent, they do not have to be connected to the same device.

MIX AND MATCH

This is where the Dual 2-Button Aux really shines.

Many guitar processors, MIDI controllers, modelers and other devices accept external momentary footswitches. Instead of putting two separate dual aux pedals on your board, this controller combines both into one narrow 8" strip.

Possible setups include:

• Line 6 HX Stomp + Morningstar MIDI controller

• Eventide H90 + Morningstar MIDI controller

• Eventide H90 + Line 6 HX Stomp

• Two compatible Morningstar Omniports

• Two separate Eventide control inputs

• Two completely different compatible pieces of equipment

Each side remains electrically independent and has its own TRS connection.

LINE 6 HX STOMP USE

One 2-button section makes an excellent external FS4/FS5 controller for the Line 6 HX Stomp.

Connect one TRS cable from the controller to the HX Stomp EXP 1/2 | FS4/5 input and configure the HX Stomp for external footswitch operation.

The two switches can then provide:

• FS4

• FS5

The HX Stomp allows FS4 and FS5 to be assigned to functions including stomp control, preset up/down, bank up/down, snapshot navigation, tap/tuner and other supported functions.

That still leaves the OTHER two switches available to control another compatible device on your pedalboard.

MORNINGSTAR USE

One 2-button section can be used with compatible Morningstar MIDI controllers through an Omniport configured for TRS Aux Switch operation.

Morningstar supports normally-open momentary aux switches with separate Tip and Ring functions.

Depending on your Morningstar configuration, those switches can provide additional programmable controls or global functions such as:

• Bank Up / Down

• MIDI Clock Tap Tempo

• Page control

• Looper functions

• Additional programmable switch functions

• Other supported Morningstar assignments

Use one pair with your Morningstar while the second pair controls an Eventide, HX Stomp or another compatible device.

EVENTIDE H90 USE

The Eventide H90 has two EXP/CTL inputs capable of accepting normally-open momentary auxiliary switches.

Either 2-button section can be connected to a compatible H90 EXP/CTL input, giving you two external controls while leaving the other half of this controller available for another device.

Or use both 2-button sections with the H90 through its two EXP/CTL inputs for four conveniently spaced external switches.

The H90 allows external switches to be mapped to a wide range of supported functions and parameters.

REAL-WORLD PEDALBOARD EXAMPLE

Imagine a board with an HX Stomp and a Morningstar MIDI controller.

TRS OUTPUT A → HX Stomp

• Switch 1 = FS4

• Switch 2 = FS5

TRS OUTPUT B → Morningstar Omniport

• Switch 3 = Bank Down

• Switch 4 = Bank Up

You now have four additional controls for two completely different devices, all from one narrow strip across the edge of your pedalboard.

OTHER USES

This controller isn't limited to Eventide, Morningstar or Line 6 gear.

Either section can be used with equipment designed for normally-open momentary Tip-to-Sleeve and Ring-to-Sleeve external switching.

IMPORTANT: Always check the external footswitch requirements of your equipment before connecting. A TRS footswitch, control or expression jack does not automatically mean it uses normally-open Tip/Ring momentary switching.
