In great cosmetic condition, lightly used.
This is the original VG-8. However, it includes the firmware update that gives it ALL the same banks and patches as the VG-8EX. See photos for firmware and to see BANK E, which only belonged on VG-8EX. Includes banks A, B, C and D as well.
I also own a VG-8EX. Apparently, the sampling on the EX is slightly higher bitrate. However, in practice I can confirm that there is little to difference in the sound quality between the VG-8 and VG-8EX. I'm choosing to keep the EX since it is rare, but this is basically 99% a Roland VG-8EX. Apparenlty, Mk.gee plays the original VG-8 units like this one.
