PRS Custom 22 limited edition nitro finish 2009 - Sunburst

PRS Paul Reed Smith 2009 Custom 22 with limited edition nitrocellulose (nitro) finish. This beautifully crafted guitar is in excellent condition with low playing time. I bought it brand new about 5 years ago as new old stock. The dealer had several of these in the past and it was the last one that was squirreled away in the back and was never on the floor. There are no dings, breaks, or repairs. There is some pick swirl on the top and a striation or two on the back possibly from a strap. Neither of these features photograph well.

The frets are in excellent condition with very minimal to no wear.

This is a great playing and sounding instrument. The thinking is that the nitro finish allows the guitar body to resonate more freely than a heavier poly finish. It's set up with 10's and plays easily.

The pickups are the desirable 57/08s and the fingerboard has the open style abalone birds. It has the PRS "wide fat" neck that is very comfortable to play. It is a medium sized neck and not as big as some wide fat necks I've played. The guitar is on the light end for a custom 22 and weighs in at 7 lbs 6 oz.

It is not a 10 top, but it has very nice figure in the maple top as you can see in the pictures. I've seen guitars designated as 10 tops that weren't as nicely figured as this one! Go figure (pun intended).

The original hard case is also in excellent condition and the whammy bar and all the case candy shown in the photos is included.
