Craig Handy’s 1962 Selmer Mark VI Tenor Saxophone. 102xxx- Fully Overhauled

I’m helping Craig Handy sell his personal Mark VI tenor. This is Craig’s horn — I do not own it.

This horn was previously sold and fully overhauled by GetASax, who described it as having a big, dark, focused and powerful tone and noted no significant evidence of past damage or repairs. The overhaul also restored the keywork to a fast, snappy action.

It currently has Pisoni Pro pads with slightly domed metal resonators.

Craig bought the horn in early 2025 and had a full COA by John Leadbetter. It became his main horn and has been used professionally, including on a Mike Clark CD and a live Headhunters CD recorded at Garcia’s in Chicago.

Craig describes it as extremely responsive, funky, and a horn that really speaks.

Relacquered at some point in its life but engraving is still visible
