LOOP-MASTER PEDALS DUAL FS3X STYLE CONTROLLER – 6-BUTTON AUX FOOTSWITCH

Two 3-button FS3X-style controllers in one low-profile strip.

The Loop-Master Pedals Dual FS3X Style Controller gives you two completely independent groups of three normally-open momentary footswitches in a single enclosure.

Each 3-button section has its own TRS output and operates like a conventional FS3X-style auxiliary controller. Use both sections with one piece of equipment, use either section by itself, or connect each side to a completely different compatible device.

For example, use one side for three functions on a compatible Morningstar MIDI controller and the other side for three functions on an Eventide H90. Or connect both sides to an H90 for a full six-switch external controller.

Two controllers. Two TRS outputs. Six switches. One enclosure.

No MIDI connection or power supply is needed for the controller itself. Just connect each section to the equipment you want to control with a standard TRS cable.

HOW EACH 3-BUTTON SECTION WORKS

Each group of three switches uses the familiar FS3X-style TRS switching arrangement:

• Switch 1 = Tip
• Switch 2 = Ring
• Switch 3 = Tip + Ring

The second group works exactly the same way through its own separate TRS output.

MIX AND MATCH

The two sides are completely independent, so they do not have to control the same piece of equipment.

This is especially useful on a pedalboard where you have more than one device that accepts external momentary switches. Instead of mounting two separate 3-button aux pedals, you can handle both from one narrow strip.

Some possible setups:

• 3 switches for a Morningstar MIDI controller + 3 switches for an Eventide H90
• 3 switches for an Eventide H9 + 3 switches for an Eventide H90
• 3 switches for an Eventide Factor-series pedal + 3 switches for another compatible device
• All 6 switches connected to an Eventide H90
• Use one 3-button section now and keep the other available for another compatible device later

MORNINGSTAR USE

One 3-button section can be used as a 3-function auxiliary controller with compatible Morningstar MIDI controllers that support external switches through their Omniports.

This makes for a useful combination with an Eventide H90. Connect one side of the Dual FS3X Style Controller to your Morningstar and the other side to the H90.

You now have three Morningstar functions and three H90 functions available from the same 12" strip.

EVENTIDE H90 USE

The H90 is an especially good match because it has two EXP/CTL inputs.

H90 EXP/CTL 1 → TRS cable → Switches 1/2/3
H90 EXP/CTL 2 → TRS cable → Switches 4/5/6

Using both sides gives you six external switches that can be assigned within the H90 to supported functions such as:

• Perform controls
• Program Active/Bypass
• Preset A/B bypass
• HotSwitch functions
• Preset increment/decrement
• Tap tempo
• Algorithm-specific controls
• Other assignable H90 functions

One particularly useful setup is assigning the six switches to the H90's six Perform controls, putting all six at your feet without having to change Perform pages.

OTHER EVENTIDE USES

Either 3-button section can also be used with Eventide pedals that support a compatible three-button TRS auxiliary footswitch, including:

• Eventide H9 / H9 Max
• TimeFactor
• ModFactor
• PitchFactor
• Space

If the pedal has only one compatible aux/EXP input, simply use one of the two 3-button sections. The other side remains available for another compatible device.

OTHER USES

The Dual FS3X Style Controller isn't limited to Eventide or Morningstar gear. Either side can be used with equipment designed for the same normally-open Tip / Ring / Tip+Ring momentary switching arrangement.

This can include compatible MIDI controllers, multi-effects processors, modelers and other equipment with external footswitch inputs.

IMPORTANT: Always check the external footswitch requirements of your equipment before connecting. A TRS footswitch, control or expression jack does not automatically mean it uses FS3X-style Tip / Ring / Tip+Ring momentary switching.
