POLMUZ Model 1 MAPLE is manufactured with the utmost care in our workshop in Gdynia. Video Features 100% maple shells The Maple series shells are made from 6 plies of maple with a total thickness of 4.8 mm. Sound was the highest priority when designing Polmuz drums. Balanced midrange and high tones provide great versatility across many musical styles. The full, powerful character and rich resonance of the shells were achieved through carefully selected maple plies, as well as focus on shell formation and edge shaping. Edges The 45° bearing edge ensures optimal contact with the head. Each edge on Polmuz drums is sanded and additionally waxed, ensuring perfect head-to-shell contact. The result is clear tone across the full frequency range. Sharp edge finishing on tom bearing edges produces a quick attack and short sustain, while the rounded edge on bass drums generates unique and warm vintage tone. Finish The matte finish on Polmuz drums gives each set a unique look and distinctive sound character. The lacquer used on Maple series Polmuz drums is of the highest quality. Tube Lugs Tube Lugs are characteristic of all Polmuz drums. The unique Tube Lug design makes them look like traditional mounts, but the lug shell "floats" above the drum shell to minimize contact with the drum. This allows the entire shell to resonate across the full sound range. To minimize the risk of drums going out of tune, each lug features a long screw that sits deep in the lug. Additionally, each is secured with dual washers – metal and nylon – guaranteeing tuning stability. Chrome hardware Polmuz drums feature fully chrome-plated hardware. The beautiful appearance conveys a sense of highest quality materials and breaks with the brand's unfortunate reputation from years past. Mounting system The non-invasive mounting system ensures maximum resonance and stability regardless of conditions. The streamlined design makes it easy to position toms closer together, providing greater freedom and comfort. Additionally, parts made from aluminum ensure reduced weight. Bass drum hoops The hoops on Polmuz bass drums are equipped with rubber pads that help protect their wooden rims from damage. In this arrangement, the hoops and rims form one cohesive unit, so they don't separate or rattle, even with loose tuning. Heads Polmuz drums are equipped with clear, single-ply struck heads of high quality. Bass drum heads additionally feature a wide damping collar. Resonant heads are distinguished by a characteristic vintage-style head with a prominent Polmuz logo.
