The Electro-Harmonix Knockout is a three-knob attack equalizer that combines a low-pass filter, high-pass filter, and dry signal path. Each knob controls its respective band, letting you sculpt a focused tone by blending the filtered signals with the unprocessed dry sound. The filters are tuned for musical response rather than broad EQ sweeps, making it effective after distortion for tightening low end or adding punch. It works well on bass too, where the same controls can carve out clarity or reinforce weight without needing multiple EQ stages. The pedal runs in true bypass and is housed in a compact die-cast enclosure.
