This is a Snarling Dogs SDP-6 Very-Tone Dog varitone pedal. It functions as a notch filter with a clean boost and preamp stage. The Tone Selector switch gives five base voices, and the Attack Control switch toggles between Snarl and Bite modes for a total of ten tonal options. A sixth Bypass Overdrive setting removes the tone controls and turns the pedal into a transparent preamp.

The pedal uses a true mechanical hard bypass switch. It runs on a regulated 9V DC power supply or battery. The rotary selector and toggle switch allow quick changes between preset tones like Jazz, Blues, Surf, Semi-Hollow, and others.
