This cable is needed to connect MP3 players, portable CD players, cell phones, and other devices which haveTRS output to amplifier, mixer, PA systems and other devices wich have RCA input. We use resistors to prevent the signals from back-feeding into each other. This prevents there from being distortion or noise issues, as well as preventing damage to your output device.
