The Adcom GDA-600 is a vintage stereo digital-to-analog converter (DAC) introduced in 1994.Digital Section: Features a Crystal CS8412 receiver, a Burr-Brown linear phase digital filter (8x resampling), and dual selected 20-bit R-2R Burr-Brown PCM-63 DAC chips.
Inputs: 4 impedance-matched inputs including 2 S/PDIF coaxial, 1 S/PDIF optical, and 1 balanced AES/EBU XLR.
Outputs: 1 buffered S/PDIF coaxial digital output and stereo analog RCA main outputs.
Power Supply: Isolated on its own board with a bi-directional AC filter, dual transformers, 7 separate stages, and 27 filter capacitors.
Performance: Frequency response of DC–20kHz (+0/-0.5dB), THD of 0.009% (or 0.002% at 1kHz depending on stage specs), and a signal-to-noise ratio of 106 dB unweighted.
