2002 Fender Custom Shop Cherry Sunburst Showmaster in excellent/Very Good condition (Check the images and I can provide more on request). These early Custom Shop Showmasters are fairly rare and are a different beast than your typical Stratocaster. They were Fender Custom Shop’s take on a high-end Super Strat (before Fender bought Charvel and other companies). The Showmaster also has an interesting connection to John Suhr, who was a Senior Master Builder at the Fender Custom Shop and was involved in the early development of the Showmaster concept before founding Suhr Guitars. This guitar was recently set up and inspected by Dr. Strings and plays great. It features a carved figured-maple top over an alder body, a highly figured set-in maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and abalone dot inlays. The set-neck construction gives it easy upper-fret access and great sustain. It has an HSS pickup configuration with original pickups (I believe they are Seymour Duncans), 5-way selector, master volume and tone controls, LSR roller nut, Sperzel locking tuners, and floating tremolo. The guitar is in excellent overall condition, especially for a 2002 instrument. There is one tiny ding that is almost impossible to see unless you’re looking for it, and there is no noticeable fret wear. Comes with the Fender hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, and case candy.
