Owned by veteran Bay Area record producer Scott Mathews: this AKG C414 B-ULS TLII condenser microphone was well taken-care-of in his private recording studio. This mic sounds great, is fully functional, and was used on sessions with Susan Tedeschi, Huey Lewis, and Sammy Hagar.
Four selectable patterns: omni, cardioid, hypercardioid, and figure-8. 1" gold-sputtered dual-diaphragm capsule, −10dB and −20dB pads, switchable bass rolloff, 136dB max SPL with the pad engaged. 48V phantom required.
The microphone is the studio standard for acoustic guitar, drum overheads, room mics, and piano, and a common alternate vocal mic when a U87 sits too thick in the track. The auction is for the microphone only, no mic clip is included.
