In 1987, Mike Soldano created the now-legendary 100-watt Super Lead Overdrive tube amp head. The SLO set the standard for modern high-gain amplification and, nearly forty years later, remains one of the most coveted amps in history.

The SLO’s drive channel powered the sound of renowned rock guitarists like Mick Mars (Mötley Crüe), Warren DeMartini (Ratt), and Howard Leese (Heart), while its bluesy crunch channel made the SLO the preferred choice for non-metal icons such as Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Warren Haynes, Gary Moore, and Lou Reed, to name a few.

Cascading Gain Stages

Designed with the same cascading gain stages as the flagship amp, the SLO pedal is ideal for adding the signature Soldano sound to your pedalboard. The SLO pedal’s front panel features the same Gain, Volume, and Presence controls, as well as a 3-band EQ, found on the 100-watt tube amp. A side-mounted Deep switch optimizes low-end punch via the Depth control. These controls allow you to dial in everything from a harmonically rich crunch to one of the most famous high-gain tones in history.
