Up for sale is my 2007 Gibson Flying V Faded Cherry.
This one has a particularly cool look thanks to a custom snakeskin-pattern pickguard, which really pops against the faded cherry mahogany and makes the guitar stand out from the sea of standard black-and-white Flying Vs.
Classic Flying V construction and feel: mahogany body and neck, rosewood fingerboard, dual humbuckers, Tune-o-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. It’s lightweight, resonant, and has exactly the aggressive midrange and sustain you want from a Gibson V. Great for hard rock, alternative, metal, or anything where you want a guitar that looks as big as it sounds.
It’s a player’s guitar, so expect normal signs of use consistent with its age rather than a museum piece. The thin Faded finish is part of the appeal of these guitars and naturally shows wear much more readily than Gibson’s gloss finishes. Please look closely at the photos for condition.
The custom snakeskin guard gives it a killer late-’70s/early-’80s rock vibe while the faded cherry keeps it unmistakably Gibson.
Made in USA — 2007.
If you’ve been looking for an older USA Gibson Flying V that you can actually play and gig without worrying about putting the first mark on it, this is a cool one.
Comes with original Gibson USA branded V shaped soft shell case.
