Tascam Porta 02 in excellent condition. Everything works perfectly and the unit has been serviced and cleaned.

• Fully disassembled and cleaned.
• Front shell was completely cleaned. There is no dust or crud in the switch slots, knob recesses, etc as shown in the closeup photos.
• All faders, switches, and jacks were electronically cleaned with the appropriate contact cleaner.
• The record and playback heads were cleaned and demagnetized. The capstan was cleaned. The capstan gear was cleaned and relubricated.
•  Pinch roller was cleaned with rubber renue
• All belts have been replaced with new high quality belts
• The tape counter was rebuilt with parts from a donor unit
• Tape speed was calibrated to standard
• Wow and flutter was measured to be .17%. Specifications for this machine are 0.35%± so this machine is performing well.

The unit has been fully tested and used to record new music- every jack and routing option has been confirmed. These units have all seen heavy use by this point but most have never been serviced or maintained. This one has been repaired, tested, and used creatively, not just to check that it works.

I have serviced dozens of these units and this one is in remarkable condition with only minor scuffs on the tape door. Please see photos for details.
