Up for sale is this really neat example of a 1975 Gibson Les Paul Custom with some quirks!
The entire guitar looks to be refinished in a Metallic Silver color, and it looks to have been done in the 90’s by a local luthier! The headstock was broken at one point in time, and during the repair (which was very well done) the volute was shaved down! The guitar has also been routed for a 3rd pickup!
All the electronics look to be replaced with some high end components!
The Tuners, Strap Buttons, and the switch as well as the screw holding the switch also look to be replacements as well!
The pickups look to be marked “PRS Made In USA”, really good sounding set of pickups! In addition to that, all the potentiometers are dated to 1996! One of the tone controls was swapped out for a coil split as well!
The body has its share of dings, dents and scratches. With some finish buildup in the nooks and crannies, see pictures above!
The Neck has also been refretted and the fret ends themselves could be shaved down just a tad. They aren’t sharp, but they are noticeable when moving your fingers along the side of the fretboard!
Comes with OHSC! Lining around the exterior edge has come loose!
